Student sponsorship
Showlight is proud to offer a sponsorship scheme for students and recent graduates of University, College or School study courses which include at least some content of lighting for the performing arts, events, broadcast or film.
Encouraging lighting’s next generation
Limited student places are available, with sponsorship covering:
- Access to all seminar presentations
- Access to the accompanying exhibition
- Full participation in the new programme of workshops
- Food and drink throughout the event
- A place at the main conference dinner
All students are asked to pay for is travel and accommodation the cost of which will be partly covered by a stipend of £500.
Each student is sponsored by one of our exhibitors who represent the world’s leading entertainment lighting technology companies. Exhibitors each have a small stand in Showlight’s tradeshow and, in return for sponsorship, students are asked to assist their sponsor on the stand as required. Aside from this, student delegates have an invaluable opportunity to learn from top lighting designers and practitioners by attending our series of diverse seminar presentations. There’s plenty of time for networking too, with a conference dinner and varied programme of informative, fun and engaging workshops.
A number of former Showlight student delegates have gone on to become award-winning lighting practitioners, with a number even returning to Showlight to present papers.
