The Conference Dinner is one of Showlight's signature events and a great opportunity for delegates and exhibitors to mix socially and carry on the conversations started earlier in the day. Traditionally each table has a host whose 'guests' move from one table to another during the course of the evening, ensuring everyone meets someone new and providing a memorable experience into the bargain!
In 2005 the dinner was held at the Ayinger Brewery, just south of Munich in the heart of Bavaria. The 1200-year old village of Aying, famous for its traditional way of life and its snow-covered Alps, provided the perfect setting for a traditional Bavarian evening.
The 2009 dinner took place in Glasgow's old Fruit Market which, hidden from view in the city's cultural Merchant City next to the City Halls, has retained all of its period charm and forms part of Glasgow's Centre for Music. Plans are advancing for a truly memorable Conference Dinner in Cesky Krumlov in 2013!
